Per People, the couple first crossed paths around four years ago. The Real Housewives of Miami reality TV star told the publication that they started off as friends after meeting at a party in Los Angeles.

In the podcast they have together, called Separation Anxiety, Jordan revealed that there was an instant attraction, stating: “I just felt like even at that point, we hadn’t really hung out yet, but I just found myself staring at you across the room and like, wanting to talk to you and get to know you more.”

Although they didn’t publicly announce their relationship until later, rumours first started circulating in September 2022, after they were seen having lunch together at Zuma in Miami, per Hello!.

Pippen reportedly denied the speculation for months, but after several more sightings together, they finally made things “Instagram official” in January this year, according to the magazine.

When news emerged about their confirmed romance, netizens were quick to criticise their 17-year age gap. They opened up about this on their podcast, with Pippen sharing that her new man’s age was “the last thing on my mind”.

The engagement rumours

The two lovebirds sparked engagement rumours in August when Pippen was snapped flaunting a gigantic ring on her finger, per People. Pippen confirmed that they are “not engaged”, on their podcast, adding that her beau did give her a “promise ring” though. So, it seems like wedding bells aren’t ringing … yet.

Before Jordan, the Fashion Nova ambassador was married to Chicago Bulls basketball player Scottie Pippen for around two decades. Per Us Weekly, they got married in 1997, and had a brief split then reconciled, before splitting for good in 2018. The divorce was finalised in 2021, per Hello! and they share four kids together. Pippen has also been linked to Future, Tristan Thompson, Eric Moreland and Malik Beasley in recent years.

This is Jordan’s most public post-marriage relationship to date.

Michael Jordan, the legendary former NBA player and Marcus’ dad, does not seem to approve of his son’s relationship, according to sources. And it’s not just about the age – Larsa’s ex-husband Scottie is also Michael’s former teammate from his years at Chicago Bulls.

When TMZ asked the 60-year-old father about his stance on Marcus’ new fling, and whether he approves, Michael responded “No” while laughing and shaking his head. Maybe he was joking with the reporter. Maybe not.
