In a world where filters, fillers, and an extensive list of cosmetics are all totally commonplace, music artist Lady Gaga is being celebrated by her fans for showing her “normal” skin in a makeup demo video.
The 37-year-old launched her own cruelty-free cosmetics brand in 2019 named Haus Labs. This September, the Shallows singer took to Instagram to share the result of one of her concealer products. Fans have been filling the comments section with thanks to the star for “normalizing” a bare face.
Lady Gaga demos Haus Labs
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, September 7, Lady Gaga shared a demonstration of how to use one of her brand’s concealers.
Using the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Concealer, the singer applied the makeup to her bare face.
She said: “I’m so excited to show you how I use it. Today I’m using 11 Fair Neutral.”
Singer went barefaced to the Oscars
Lady Gaga’s Haus Labs video isn’t the first time she’s gone publicly makeup-free in 2023.
She performed at the Oscars “makeup-free, wearing jeans and a T-shirt” according to a report from Elle.
Hours prior to her performance, the singer wore a full face of makeup as she walked the red carpet in a Versace gown.
However, she opted for a natural look on stage and sang her song Hold My Hand.
Fans celebrate Lady Gaga
As Lady Gaga applies the Haus Labs concealer with her brand’s concealer brush, she explains that the product gives her a “beautiful, radiant finish.”
The Bad Romance singer explains that she applies the concealer in areas of “redness” and under her eyes. Speaking of the product, she adds that it’s “creamy” and “melts” into her face.
Many of her fans took to the comments section of the Instagram post to celebrate her for showing her real skin online.
