Chris Hemsworth rode impressive waves in a new Instagram video and has been hailed the “God of surfers”. However, many of his fans were distracted by his children who proudly showed off equally amazing surfing skills and took center stage in the footage.

The Australian actor, 39, is a lover of outdoor activities and has been spotted surfing in Byron Bay on a number of occasions. It seems that the Marvel star’s children are following in his footsteps and incorporating surfing in their free time. Hemsworth has been sharing more of his personal life on social media and his latest video shows that the celebrity family has some impressive surfing skills.

Chris Hemsworth showcases surfing skills

The Thor and Extraction star, who shares India, 11, and twins Tristan and Sasha, 9, with wife Elsa Pataky, posted a lovely video with his family from a recent trip to Switzerland.

“Got to surf the wave pool in Switzerland with the family last week,” the Marvel star proudly captioned the Instagram post. “Such an amazing trip. To be able to surf in a pool with snowcap mountains as the backdrop was pretty awesome!”

One fan hailed the actor a “God of surfers” and another one noted: “There [is] literally anything this man can’t do.” A third fan called the actor’s surfing skills “amazing”.

Kids take center stage in the video

While Hemsworth never fails to impress, many of his fans were also impressed by the skills that his children showcased in the clip.

“Your kids will outshine you in the future with surfing! Amazing!” one fan noted. Another wrote: “Super talented family – you must be very proud.”

“Too cool for school, officially jealous. Livid,” a third follower wrote.

Someone else opened up about their own family and wrote: “Watching you with your family over the past year or so has to some extent inspired me.”

Hemsworth shared a health update in 2023

Last year, Hemsworth said that he has a high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease after finding out about the health update while filming the National Geographic and Disney+ docuseries Limitless.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in November 2022, he noted that he is “not talking about retiring by any means” but noted that he would be taking some time off.

He said: “It was pretty shocking because he called me up and he told me. It’s not a pre-deterministic gene, but it is a strong indication. Ten years ago, I think it was more thought of as determinant.”

The Aussie star reprised his role as mercenary Tyler Rake in the 2023 Netflix sequel Extraction 2 and is confirmed to appear in the 2024 Mad Max prequel Furiosa and Avengers: Secret Wars, set for a 2027 release.
