Joshua Austin Sullivan, 50, born Sept. 17, 1973, died Sept/17, 2023. Joshua died on his birthday after his battle with cancer. He died at home, where he lived with his sister Autumn Murphy, surrounded by family and friends, and attended and comforted by Pastor Joshua Pierce.

Joshua enjoyed spending his time cooking out, driving 18-wheelers, fishing and riding motorcycles and horses.

Joshua was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Annie and Homer G. Sullivan; maternal grandparents Clara and Onnie Butler; father Chester Sullivan; stepfather Jerry Lynn Butler; brother Jeffery Butler; and nephew Rex Allen Nicholson Jr.

Joshua is survived by his mother Mary Ann Sims (James W.); sons Dustin Sullivan (Michaela and Azreal), Jerry Sullivan, Austin Lindsey and Justin Lindsey (Melissa, Skyla, Ashton and James); siblings Wayne Andrews (Mellisa, Amanda, Jessica and Gary), Mark Andrews (Susan, Trish, Brianna and Haley), Autumn Murphy (Bruce, Brittany, McKenzie, Mason and Marlee Nicholson), Leslie Harding (Josh, Gena and Logan), Dawn Doba (Paul, Kristin, Paul Jr. and Emily), Jerry Lynn Butler Jr. (Deloris), Shawn Butler (Amy), Timothy Butler and Nicole Butler; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services for Joshua Austin Sullivan will be held Friday, Sept. 22, at Antioch United Pentecostal Church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and the service will follow at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Myrick Cemetery. Pastor Joshua Pierce will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Nicholson, Austin Lindsey, Justin Lindsey, Nick Wells, John Codie Bolton and Paul Doba.  Honorary pallbearer will be Kenny Starcher.
